Safety & Owner’s Manual

Safety Disclaimer & Acknowledgment

VORTX boats are single-rider powered recreational watercraft. Operation involves risks including collisions, falls, ejection, capsizing, flooding, and impacts that may cause property damage, serious injury, or death.

Always wear a properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket and appropriate personal head protection. Operate within your abilities and at a safe speed for water, weather, and visibility conditions. Sudden stops or impacts can cause contact with the windshield, frame, or other parts of the boat.

Operators should be 16 or older and capable of safely controlling the boat. Owners and operators must follow applicable age, education, registration, equipment, and waterway requirements.

Carry only one rider. Do not exceed the combined rider and gear load limit: 250 lb. for Mini-X or 350 lb. for Mini-R.

Read and follow the Owner’s Manual before operation, including battery, charging, operating, and maintenance instructions. Performance and runtime vary with load, riding style, conditions, and battery condition.

I am 18 years of age or older. I have read the VORTX Safety Disclaimer and understand the risks and operating limits described. I agree to read and follow the Owner’s Manual before operating and to provide the manual and safety information to anyone I allow to operate the boat.

Questions

Can it capsize?

Like other small recreational watercraft, a VORTX can capsize or take on water depending on operating conditions and use. Always wear an appropriate life jacket and follow the operating and safety instructions provided with your VORTX.

What about sudden impacts?

Operate at a safe speed for the conditions and avoid collisions, abrupt maneuvers, and unsafe wakes. Sudden stops or impacts can cause the operator to come into contact with the windshield, frame, or other parts of the watercraft and may result in serious injury.

How should I charge it?

Use the battery and charging equipment specified for your VORTX and follow the charging instructions provided with the watercraft. Do not use or charge a battery that appears damaged, swollen, leaking, or unusually hot.

Do I need to register it?

Registration and boating requirements vary by location and use. Before launching, check and comply with applicable registration, operator-age, boating-education, equipment, and waterway requirements.
